Entries being accepted from residential system providers through August 1

Coopersburg, PA (June 11, 2014) – Lutron Electronics, the leader in energy-saving, wireless lighting and shade control, announces the call for entries for its annual Excellence Awards competition. Founded in 2003, the competition recognizes the world’s best total home control projects using Lutron’s lighting, shade, temperature and energy controls. More than 100 of Lutron’s residential system providers have been honored since the competition’s beginnings.

Entrants are being asked to focus on the following topics in their entry submission:

1. Essence of Pleasance
2. Use of RadioRA® 2
3. Use of HomeWorks® QS
4. Integration with a security system
5. Energy-saving applications
6. Integration with third-party equipment
7. Use of Sivoia® QS shading and drapery solutions
8. Use of Sivoia QS Triathlon battery powered shades

“Project excellence can be defined in many ways - whether it’s a unique application of Lutron systems and shades, custom integration with a security system, or as a primary energy saver in the home,” said Michael Smith, Vice-President, Sales at Lutron. “Lutron’s residential system providers strive for marketplace excellence every day and we’re delighted to honor them with these prestigious awards.”

Winners will be announced on Thursday, Sept. 11, in conjunction with the Custom Electronics Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) Expo in Denver, Colorado. Winners will receive a recognition award, recognition on Lutron’s website and in a press release, attendance at an awards dinner with Lutron executives, and a winner’s logo to use on their marketing materials and website.
