Coopersburg, PA (June 2, 2014) – Lutron Electronics, the leader in energy-saving, wireless lighting and shade control, today announced expanded use of its embedded EcoSystem LED technology. “EcoSystem-enabled” is synonymous with intelligent, guaranteed-compatible, digital fixture control, and is available in a growing number of LED products throughout the lighting industry.

In the next year, GE Lighting plans to grow its portfolio of leading LED fixtures by launching a selection of EcoSystem-enabled models. This move will allow direct control of their fixtures from any EcoSystem-compatible control without the need for interfaces or additional hardware.

“Embedding the Lutron chip technology into our new LED fixtures provides customers with reliable LED control by enabling direct communication between our fixtures and Lutron’s EcoSystem dimming control systems. Lutron EcoSystem technology will also be incorporated into Lumenetix araya® LED modules, which uniquely offers separate control of color temperature and color intensity. These modules will be available in fixtures from a variety of different OEM manufacturers.

These new offerings add to the growing list of alliances with other respected industry LED technology innovators such as Cree, Lumenpulse and Lunera, which previously added embedded EcoSystem products to their portfolios.
