Version 3.0
Atlas Sound Releases Major Upgrade to ASP-MG24 Sound Masking System

PHOENIX, AZ – More intuitive viewing and operation, IP-addressable remote operation, and multiple presets for quicker system setup are just a few of the upgrades incorporated into the latest firmware release from Atlas Sound for the ASP-MG24 Sound Masking System. It also boasts industry leading MEQ Software interface, scheduling advancements, and more connection support as new features to an already complete sound masking control system.

“Version 3.0 of the ASP-MG24 firmware is a major upgrade,” said Steve Young, VP of Sales and Marketing for Atlas Sound. “We not only added and improved upon some critical features; we greatly enhanced the usability and ease of operation.”

These improvements include an advanced new Graphic User Interface (GUI) for more instinctive setup and management, remote operation through IP-addressable control over secure Ethernet, and Real Time Analyzer measurement data with auto acoustic calibration through industry standard MEQ Software. In addition to the new Ethernet connection support, Version 3.0 firmware also allows for more COM port selections, multiple masking presets for quicker system setup, and I/O monitoring with voltage and decibel meters.  The Scheduler was also improved by being added to channels 1 and 2, rearranged for better viewing, and furthered by new options including Daylight Savings time selection, real time monitor clock updates, and individual schedule bypass for Channels 3 to 6.

Version 3.0 of the firmware benefits the ASP-MG24 sound masking controller. A 1RU, 6 input x 4 output DSP unit that connects to independent white/pink noise generators and allows for masking scheduling and gradual acclimation to masking levels.

This firmware upgrade is just one of the new sound masking items from Atlas Sound at this year’s InfoComm show, with new generators and self-contained systems also being added to the Atlas speech privacy line. In addition to the increased product offering, Atlas has taken an active approach to educating on the proper design and use of sound masking with a recently released book on the subject by industry expert Dr. Robert Chanaud and by teaching an InfoComm Academy course at this year’s conference.
