Atlas Sound Gives You More Inputs
The Atlas Sound AA-YSUM passive summing cable
PHOENIX, AZ– Atlas Sound and the Mitek Communications Group announce an exciting new cable that solves a common problem faced by the commercial installation world every day.
Often, there are not enough stereo summed inputs on a mixer amplifier for playback devices including CD, DVD, tape players, or DSS receivers. However, in many cases there are additional mono mic/line inputs available on the mixer section. The Atlas Sound AA-YSUM passive unbalanced summing cable allows utilization of available unused balanced inputs to meet your installation requirements.
The Atlas Sound Model AA-YSUM passive summing cable can be used to combine a stereo unbalanced signal into a mono unbalanced signal. The AA-YSUM features a 3' (1m) cable with two Male RCA connectors, summed together via an internal resistor network into a single three position Phoenix/Euro Style connector that will match input and output impedance of most audio equipment.
Atlas VP of Sales and Marketing, Steve Young, says, “This is such an easy way to create additional inputs on standard mixer amplifiers for additional sources while eliminating the unwanted impedance problems typically associated with simple ‘Y’ cables. Our engineering team has once again recognized a complex problem and found an uncomplicated solution.”
